| No doubt, we get some of the strangest looks when we work at some of the concerts and festivals that we attend. When working at a Grateful Dead concert, one of our staff was asked, "Do you think Jesus ever got stoned?" Of course, she replied, "Nope, didn't you hear? They didn't stone Him, He was crucified". We've also had people ask us, "What's the deal? Do you only take care of sick Christians? What about the Jews; will you take care of them?" We provide care to all sorts of folks. We don't discriminate based on faith, hair color, tattoos or what body parts people have pierced. So, we thought that we would take a bit and explain what this "Christian" part of our name is all about. Our purpose is to show "the compassionate care of the Great Physician (Jesus) to the world. Our main motivation comes from Christ Himself. All of our staff are volunteers. We put in some long hours and provide services worth thousands of dollars all because we have been loved and encouraged by Jesus and we want to share that love with others. We are not at concerts and festivals to be judgmental. We don't bash people with our Bibles. We come to serve, to love and to encourage. Our hope is that in the process someone might ask us why or become curious about who this Jesus is that inspires people to give of themselves, their talent and their time. If you're at a place where you want to know more please read on. If you have questions, please feel free to email us. We would love to talk with you.
It is possible to know for certain that you are going to heaven. Most people think that they can get to heaven because they have lived a "good" life or because they are better than someone else that they know. Some folks think that they can get to heaven because they are "Christians" just like they are Americans. Some think that they will be assured of a spot in heaven because their parents are Christians. Actually, the Bible teaches that none of these is true. Fortunately, God kept the entire process very simple. To become a Christian, you need to know these basic facts from the Bible:
Dear God, I realize I need Jesus Christ as my Savior. I realize I'm a sinner. Forgive me for my sin. Please come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. Thank you for dying for me; now help me to live for you. In Jesus Name, Amen If you sincerely pray this prayer (or one like it in your own words), then Christ has come into your life and has given you salvation and eternal life. It will help you to let someone know so that you might receive further information to help you begin your Christian life. Please email us and let us know. Accepting Christ is the beginning. Be obedient by following Christ in baptism and getting yourself plugged into a church. Let us know if we can be of help.
